What ys Thys Genisys Thyng?

So the Terminator: Genisys trailer has been released quite a few days ago. I'm sure you guys have seen it already, but let me embed it here in case you haven't because you've been wasting your time doing something else instead, like having a life.

And with that, I'm going to write some point of view about it as a fan of the Terminator franchise. A little bit of warning however: it will be filled with opinions and assumptions. It is obvious, of course, since that's the purpose of a trailer aside from giving you some tease like the recently popular open chested turtle-neck sweater on pixiv. But I just want to make it clear, nevertheless.

Terminator Genisys takes the timeline of The Terminator prologue - which makes it the aftermath of Terminator Salvation, but with less Batman - where the resistance are starting to win the war and Skynet cheats by sending its Terminators to kill Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke), the mother of John Connor (Jason Clarke) - the leader of the resistance - in order to make him never existed in the first place. Kyle Reese (Jai Courtney) volunteered to be sent back in time to protect her. John Connor agrees with the plan, because he knows that's exactly how it is supposed to happen, and sends him off with a very heavy hearted blessing. Hey, how would you feel when you're sending some guy back in time to have sex with your mother so that you could be born?

Hell Hath No Fury Like a Tank Scorned

Finally free from my Technology Infrastructure take-home exam. It was probably the worst exam I had experienced yet ever since I took my Master degree. We were tasked to form a company strategy from a scratch for an imaginary airline company regarding the Information Technology department. The test required a lot of stuffs to explain, such as the current status of the industry, the application to be used and why, the structure for the IT department that we would create, and a Gantt chart that we never have learned at all before.

I was so proud of my work that I would love to share it to you guys, but I know you don't want to read seven-pages long of something that doesn't interest you nor do I want to write them all over again, so I'm going to summarize it in one picture. Because, you know, they said a picture is worth a thousand words.

Here you go

Treants Grow Up, Why Can't We?

I had two events to attend on last Sunday, one of which was the wedding reception for my friend the renowned closet pervert, and the other one was for my cousin is going to go to England to continue her study this month, so we had a farewell party for her. Both were scheduled at the same time so I had to leave early from the reception to catch up with my cousin's. Of course, I left after eating every single food that I can fit in my stomach beforehand. Cheers, buddy.

Also, you look good in that

When I joined up with my cousins, they were having their own lunch at Bakmi GM - it's a noodle restaurant in case some of you foreign readers don't know about it. Quite tasty too, if you can handle the somewhat expensive price (for me, at least). I actually wanted to eat some as well, but decided to hold out since I'm aware of the price.

"Me Dissapointed! Me Angry! Grimlock Hate Human Bay!"

I was a real fan of Transformers back in my childhood, I enjoyed the G1 cartoons and I even endure the poorly dubbed animated Beast Wars series, just because. I used to have a lot of Transformers toys, from the small ones up to the almighty Devastator himself. They are all no longer with me, sadly. The last one I had fell over the window of my crib back on my first year of college.

And even now that I have forgotten most important parts from the series, I am still a fan, albeit not as enthusiast as the other real hardcore fans out there. As I grew older, and the technology kept advancing, there was one thought that keeps popping in my head: "Why haven't we got a Transformers movie yet?"

My wish came true back in 2007, a Transformers movie was finally released, and I was overjoyed beyond words. I immediately asked my girlfriend (yes, I had one real, flesh-and-blood girlfriend before, now close that gaping mouth) to watch it with me.

It was astounding. All the scenes with the vehicles transforming into giant robots completely enchanted me. I didn't even care that the acting were so mediocre and the jokes were bad; it was a Transformers movie for crying out loud. I even clapped along with some other fans in the studio to the point we almost did a standing ovation when Optimus Prime finally showed up.

'Almost', because otherwise we would expose our boner from this one scene
